NFL Week 1 2013

The 2013 NFL season has already started! That means its time for my weekly predictions. Here we go; with the first game of the 2013 season we have the a playoff rematch with the defending Super Bowl champion Ravens taking on the Broncos. I think the Broncos will take this matchup after adding even more weapons to last years already stellar team. The Ravens also lost many key players like Ray Lewis (retirement) and Ed Reed (free agency). Next we have the Patriots taking on the Bills. The Patriots should win this especially with the Bills struggling to find a QB. Then the Seahawks will take on the Carolina Panthers. I think the Seahawks will take this one after adding many more players in the offseason, and Carolina still building their team. After that is the Bengals and the Bears; the Bengals have steadily been getting better with their young QB, Andy Dalton, and WR, A.J. Green. I think they will be able to beat the Bears.

Now we have the Miami Dolphins and the Cleveland Browns. I don't think either of these teams are very good, but I will give the advantage to the Browns. Next is the Minnesota Vikings vs. the Detroit Lions. Call me biased, but I think the Lions will be able to pull of a win. After that the Colts will take on the Raiders. I think Andrew Luck and the Colts will be able to take this pretty easily. Then we have the matchup of last year's two worst teams, the Jaguars and the Chiefs.  After getting QB Alex Smith, and new head coach Andy Reid, I think the Chiefs will take this one. After that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take on the New York Jets. I think the Bucs will win this one handily no matter who the Jets put at QB. Next is the matchup between two of the top NFC teams, the Falcons and the Saints. I don't think the Saints defense has improved enough from last year, and the Falcons should take the win. No matter who wins, it should be a high scoring game. Then the Tennessee Titans  are going to take on the Pittsburg Steelers. I'm going to take Pittsburg in this matchup and hope Big Ben pulls it off. After that the Arizona Cardinals will play against the St. Louis Rams. Even after losing Steven Jackson and Danny Amendola, I think the addition of Tavon Austin will be enough to beat the Cardinals. Next is the Green Bay Packers, against the defending NFC champion, San Francisco 49ers. I think the 49ers have only gotten better since the Super Bowl and will be able to conquer Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

Now for the Sunday Night Football matchup between great rivals in the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys. I am a bit of a Cowboy hater, but I truly think the Giants will win. They always just seem to pull it off. This week there are two Monday Night Football games. First, the Philadelphia Eagles will take on RGIII and the Washington Redskins. Even if RGIII was playing (don't worry, he is) I think the Redskins would win. But I am interested to see Micheal Vick and RGIII shoot it out. And last but not least, the Houston Texans will play the San Diego Chargers. I think the Texans should win this game, and many more this season.

I don't know about you, but I cant wait to start watching football again. I will report back later this week with the results, and we will see how I did.
